A synopsis for the new trails...
Cougars is a steep notch that drops off the back side of the quarry wall just past the pavilion. The top section is loose dirt with little or no rock. It is a narrow v-cut draw down into the trees (or up depending on how it's ran). The heavily treed section at the bottom is very narrow with some extreme off-camber situations that wind back and forth and an 8 foot drop off close to the bottom. It follows a natural creek bed and has a nearly impossible mud pit to get through, requires a lotta' horsepower to even consider it with the mud at the bottom...plan on being winched out, it's that tough...but, this trail does not come anywhere close to the difficulty of Snake Farm.
Snake Farm is the mutha' of the Park as of now...the entrances are deceiving and the toughest parts cannot be seen from the trail head . This will be the only 5 diamond trail at the Park as of now.
Just to re-emphasize...unless you are on 40" - 42" and well over 100" wheelbase don't even consider it. It will tear your junk all to hell and back. We had hell getting buggies with plenty of horsepower through this trail when cutting it. There are several obstacles with 5 to 6 foot boulders and extreme off camber situations in here. Rollover is probable if mistakes are made. Every rig (and that's just a few) that have made it have had big carnage. THIS TRAIL IS NOT FOR PRETTY JEEPS....it is fairly long with two entrances and ends with a loose rock ledge at the top (Snake Head), providing you get through it up to there...again, there are NO bypasses on this trail and none will be made or permitted.
If your rig does not fit the criteria necessary to successfully complete this trail then do not attempt it, it will jack your rig up, no doubt. Otherwise, it can be walked should anyone want to see it.
