A lot of people are wondering about the latest word, so as of right now the only thing I have to offer is there is still no official word from the City. We, as representatives of the Park are at the mercy of the Parks and Rec Department officials as to their call on what comes down...I am assuming that we will get word by tomorrow mid-day on how it looks, and my best bet is that it's all dependent on what transpires today and tonight with what mother nature unleashes out there... I can only say let's hope to catch a break and for the best......this is without doubt truly frustrating to us all... I will let everyone know what I know just as soon as that happens....thanks everyone, and we apologize for these delays.

Per the City of Bridgeport Parks and Recreation Department, the grand opening festivities for Northwest Park will not be re-scheduled. The park will resume it's regularly scheduled operating hours of 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays beginning next weekend, on October 17th weather permitting. Please refer to the City of Bridgeport's official website for any information and updates concerning the park http://www.cityofbridgeport.net/index.aspx?nid=322 We will also do our best to keep you all updated on future developments as we get any information. I want to give out a big thanks to Slyder, 90K5, and TXRiverrat for hangin' in there to help out with the ride-a-long until we got the bad news this morning for closure...we truly appreciate you guys willingness of your time and efforts to help us out...I wish we had been able to bring better news to everyone.
