About the Wounded Warrior Project - Their mission is to raise the awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs. Wounded Warrior Project began when several individuals took small, inspired actions to help others in need. One night while watching the evening news, veterans and brothers were moved by stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq. They realized that something needed to be done for these brave individuals beyond the brass bands and ticker tape parades. They wanted to provide tangible support for the severely wounded to help them on the road to heal both physically and mentally.

About the Arkansas Crawlers 4x4 Club - Our non-profit, four-wheel drive enthusiast club was started by just a few friends in 2000, and now has approximately 70 member families. Most members live in the Central Arkansas region.

We were inspired, as were the Wounded Warrior Project organizers, to assist wounded veterans who literally put their lives on the line for America. Numerous club members are active or past-military, with one member currently serving in Iraq.

The Crawlers thank the product sponsors that have made Warrior Jeep possible. The Sweepstakes could not have moved forward without the numerous manufacturers who donated their resources and products.

    Awesome cause to support.

It would be cool, if as a club, we organized at least one run in which we take some veterans with us.  Maybe there are some heroes right here in DFW who are having trouble going 4-wheeling nowadays?

This is a great thing!!  I have wheeled with a few of the Arkansas Crawler boys when I lived up there and they are a great club.  Its always good to see anyone help out with something like this.

That being said, its also a sad day...  These are the first "adds" EVER on this message board.  I hope this is the exception to the rule Griz and the BOD set all those years ago, its really nice to not be bombarded with adds like on most message boards.

It is an exception, for sure.   Due to the cause, an exception was made, but business as usual will resume after this fundraiser.
