Wheelers for the Wounded April 24-26, 2009 Thursday, December 11, 2008 6:57 PM (permalink)
Wheelers for the Wounded (Open Charity Event at BMRA)

New date is October 2-4, 2009.

Wheelers for the Wounded

Wheelers for the Wounded (WFTW) is an organization with the goal of providing a weekend of off-roading and camping to our country's wounded military members all over the United States. This will provide them with much deserved fun and excitement as they traverse the most extreme terrain our great country has to offer in a variety of the best off-road capable vehicles ever built.

This event is being organized by the Texas Chapter of the Toyota Territory Off Road Association and the Toyota Trail Riders.

All individuals and clubs are asked to help in this noble cause.

For information on how you or your club can help our wounded vets, please contact Jose Mejia or Marco Lozano at texasttora@gmail.com

The last time I had saw something about it was on the TMTC web-site, and thought it was at BMRA.  However, it is no longer posted on their calendar, TTORA calendar, or the Toyota Trail Riders calendar (???).

That date has been changed.  It is now scheduled for some time in the Fall if I remember correctly.  Sorry I don't have any more details, but I'll post up once I find out.

The first post was from December 08.  This event was supposed to be a long time ago but was rescheduled to this October due to a number of circumstances.  Apparently due to lack of funds, interest, sponsors, etc. the original nationwide event is no longer.  Check out the post a few up with the link to the TTR site.  It also seems there are others that are willing to take up the cause, so WftW may be back in the future and may be rescheduled for BMRA at some point.
