Try Again: Where are you located

As a club, we have been moving the monthly meeting around, mostly in Tarrant County, because 3 years ago that was where the majority of folks active in the club resided and that was the last time we really talked about this. (The thread where I asked for zipcodes: I haven't figured out yet the best way to localize that, so here goes another stab at it) Trying to keep things fair. Which part of the metroplex sounds best? To keep it simple, I will list 8 quadrants of Dallas and Tarrant county. Pick the one closest to you. I will keep this poll open for a while just so that people can get a chance to input their location. Please give us time to collect enough responses, so that as a BOD we can discuss it. This poll will give us better information to work with. FYI: Last time the BOD discussed this issue, it was agreed that moving the meetings around each month was the fairest approach. We've been trying to do that.

Thanks for working on this. I don't think the club demographics have changed much since I first joined the club back in '99. Tarrant County has always had a majority of club members, despite the fact that Dallas county has a much bigger population. Go figure. Anyway, here's my vote for the southside!

If you go wheelin in Australia its going to drive you nuts not having your own rig there. Anyways...back to people posting where they are located.

So far it is 19-6, Tarrant to Dallas, with the majority of folks in the NW, NE, and SE parts. Considering that most of the meetings lately have been in Mansfield, MidCities, and NW Ft Worth, I would say we have been pretty fair about meeting placement. What do you guys think?

Unless we change the day of the meeting or locations I will not be coming to them. I know I am just one person and majority rules, but I'm sure everyone knows how bad traffic is traveling from the Dallas side over to the Ft. Worth side Friday at 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Yea, I live in Irving and would not make it to the meeting if I wasn't already in Fort Worth for work. On the day of the meeting I just hang out in Fort Worth until the meeting. But I am not sure I would make the drive down 183 westbound from 5-7pm.

With the Tarrant - Dallas county ratio being more than 3 to 1, I have to agree, as much as I hate doing so considering that I'm closer to the southeast Dallas County area. But such is the case for life in the widely spread-out metroplex area....
