Manhunter and anyone else who attended the Toyota event last weekend... How was it? How was the park? Have they recovered from all the damage that was done at Fall Run?

Well, it was very wet, sloppy, and muddy - all trails were upgraded one diamond. As far as I know, they have worked on some of them but the one that had the big hole in the middle of the road is still there. Linda Gail has been graded off some and is in good condition, but the DFW camp area looks pretty bad. I stayed at the TTR campsite. I went on Desiway, Linda Gail, Scorpion Overlook, Sollihull, and they were all passable and in good shape. Keith may be able to add some more info - he went on a few others.

The trails were a muddy mess and some extra rutting due to the mud had occurred. Some of the obstacles on trails such as Twister and Clyde's Ravine have become more challenging due to the erosion but some other obstacles such as the ledge at the end of Lynda Gayle have become easier due to the dirt washing down in front of them.

Wow, sounds like fall run revisited. So Clyde's is back open? I had seen somewhere that it had been closed due to really bad erosion. There was some talk on the TMTC forum about them moving in a bunch of large rocks near the entrance before they reopened it. Guess they got some work done already.

No, no as I said some trails such as Clyde's Ravine are more challenging. The big hole is still present on Clyde's Ravine.

Yep, it was a real muddy mess out there this past weekend. Like Dave and Keith said, some of the trails have suffered from rain-induced erosion problems. I've usually led stock-friendly beginner groups on 2-diamond trails at past Mega Runs. Hopefully all the trails will be repaired and their ratings will be dropped down to normal to keep the beginner groups on an easy keel.

All the 2s are still very doable in stock form when it's dry, but wet is a whole other ball game. ORIGINAL: equin Yep, it was a real muddy mess out there this past weekend.
