Are you strictly going to be off road or are you going to be on road as well?

like he said what purpose do you want. Has for stores I had great experinces at 4-wheel parts in Fort Worth. they even beat discount tire on the same tires and warranty. If this rig is a duel purpose you may need an all terrain tire but if it is offroad only they a good mud tire will do.

Mine will be for on and off road. I would like to drive in once a week on road and maybe once a month or so off road.

LOL im so clueless i thought this would be easy. I'm going to get wheels around 10 inches wide and im putting a 2.5 inch spring lift with a 1 inch shackle lift and new bushings for a total of around 4.5 in lift. I am about to order the lift but i'm trying to price tires and all that since i have a friend that wants to buy my other tires that are new just smaller then what i wanted. After talking to blazinator i decided i didn't need 35s anymore, but i want a big look ( all vanity )

[size=3 font="times new roman"]If it is for the 76 just go on Craigslist and pick up a barley used set. Save your self lots of money and newer style stock rims will look great on that thing! The bolt pattern on that should be the same as my Dodge Ram 5 on 5.5 I think….. You could also put on jeep rims or ford ½ ton pick up truck rims on there.

BFG AT's for sure, def good for daily driving and they do pretty well in most off road situations. Kinda get a bit bogged down in heavy mud, but thats their only drawback.

BFG KM2's are good offroad and wear well on the street. They aren't loud either. That's my recommendation.

The BFG AT's are also a good dual use (leaning more towards street where KM2's lean more towards trails), that is what Amy is running. I've got 35 Claws on mine, wear so far has been quite good and road noise is not too bad but they are not really ideal for dual use.

make it to where you can fit the military 37"s they are great on and offroad and they are virtually unpuncturable. I love mine.

Where did you get the 16.5 wheels? I have looked at these from 100dollarman.com but the lack of wheels with the right offset and 6 lug toyota pattern have kept me from going this route.

Most likely you'd have to buy a 16.5" rim and recenter it with some new centers for copperhead fab or the like.

I'm currently running the BFG KM2's in a 33x10.50 on the Toyota. I've been pretty pleased with them, quite on pavement and good traction off road. A less expensive tire is the Maxxis Bighorn. I had them before, good traction, and pretty quite for a mudterrain. The best price on the KM's when I bought was 4WP on a promotion. Economy Tire in Dallas had the best price on the Bighorn's when I bought them. Gerone

black rock, cragar, xtreme steel, and eaton all make a wide range of 16.5 wheels. mine are 16.5"x8.75" and I run mine at 15lbs constantly. the reason people always loss the bead with these is because they are running a 9.50 or wide wheel with these and you can't do that because these tires have very stiff sidewalls. if you run a 8.75 i'm told you can air down to 8lbs but I haven't gone below 15 because im very heavy and get extremely good traction at 15. also the way the lugs are setup they flex around the rocks very well. the only thing I have ever had puncture one of them was a 4" long self tapping sheet metal screw and it appear that it had trouble going in because it was s shaped. that was easily fixed with a plug. from what I was told these tires are a 12 ply.
