The snow. It fears my truck

I shall name thee.... Truck Norris!
 

having a 4x4 comes in handy.  I did go to work expecting delays.  First it was 8:00am start,  (6:00am in norm) then 10:30am start then the unthinkable happened.  They decided not to send us out.  Mainly the planes could not even get in, nor the trucks to bring us the freight.  So I drove home and saw 4 accidents on my short drive home.  Wished my work truck was a 4x4

My parents are flipping out over me driving, I mean I learned how to drive in Chicago and drove in the stuff for 2 years, I dont get how this is different?

Yeah, they are calling this "snowmageddon" down here.  It's just a couple of inches of blowing snow and single digit temps.  Back home we'd call it "Tuesday".
 
But with more snow comes more fear of Truck Norris.
 

They closed down campus today up here in Denton. I honestly think it's funny how it seems the people around here seem to freak out at this weather. The only trouble I think I'd have is getting my 800ft long truck back in my ice covered driveway. But I can barely park it there on sunny days :). Stupid terrible Ford turning radius. At least I'll get some garage time in.

Yup, NCTC was closed today.  Its noon and there is still alot of snow left over and its supposed to be down to single digits tonight.  I highly suspect school will be cancelled tomorrow as well

I hope UNT isn't. I've got less than two weeks to finish my thesis and I need access to the XRD software. I gotta say, it's cold as ____ out there. I just dug my neighbors car out of the snow and after about 5 mins I was having trouble breathing. Felt almost like my lungs were freezing. I haven't seen what the wind chills are up here but at 16 degrees and 35 mph winds I'm sure it's COLD!

For sure man, its super cold out. Its weird though I just got back from a drive/drift session and the roads have streams of water on the sides and like an inch of ice in the middle, any water that gets on the truck instantly freezes LOL.  I got back to my house and tried to open my door and the water had frozen it shut :D

Well UNT is closed again tomorrow. That's bad news for me.
