Hello all, I'm the FNG. Just bought my first jeep (81' CJ7). I'm new to the jeep seen, had several other urban 4x4's. Looking to build my jeep up and get out to the trails. Hopefully I'll get some good advice and make some new friends while I'm here.

Welcome and nice rig =)
Our next club get together will be in Bridgeport on October the 15th. It is our quarterly wheeling meeting. The park is a good place to start wheeling. There are mild trails we can take you on so you can get used to the Jeep off road. Will also be a good place to meet some of us. More details on the home page =)

I don't know if I'll have my jeep in a safe working order (in my opinion) by then, but I would definatley like to go out there. Is it a place everyone just drives around all day or is there a staging ground people get together and BS? If there is a staging ground, is it accessible by 2wd truck?

There is a "staging ground", parking area! Much of the park could be navigated by a competent 2wd driver.
