Smart Phone

I was thinking of joining the 21th century and getting a smart phone. I am with Att so that narrow the choices to a million and I did looked at the new I-phone, the samsung, the motorola and HTC. Which one do y'all have and would you buy it again? The I- phone seem to have alot of support but the Samsung made it easy to use for old eyes like myself. The motorola did get good reviews and the HTC I was told was good too. I would need a rugged type of phone like the one I have now..the Ruggby to handle the abuse I give it. Opinions please.

I have a Samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket and I love it, I have had iPhones in the past but I am tired of apple holding me back by making me buy only there apps and music. As far as being rugged that is al in the case you buy!

I own an HTC Inspire and its has been a great phone for me. I also did not like Iphone controlling every thing you do . Inspire has a huge screen also for eyes there are not as good as they use to be.

We have been doing some smartphone testing at work for our sales team and I can say both phone have their pros and cons. I personally like the Android OS for it's flexibility but that has it's drawbacks as well. As far as support, Android devices still outnumber iPhones almost 2 to 1. But I must say the iPhone has a very easy to use interface.

Go android OS, if you want it to be rugged make sure what ever phone you get can be used with an Otter-box case. There practically bullet proof. As for ATT most of Texas is now on the 4 g network.

I have the Casio G Zone. Been good so far. Water proof, takes a beating. I have dropped it several times. Had wrenches thrown on it (while it was sitting in my tool cart). Spilled coolant on it. Still going.... Downside. Verizon only as far as I know

I am going on year 4 with my Iphone 3g. The day I bought it i got the otter box and the phone looks brand new. I really like this phone and will upgrade to the 4S when this one ****s out. I have had zero issues with it. For a while I got tired of the iphone control and jailbroke it. The phone continued to work flawlessly and I had all the benefits of a droid. After a while I got sick of the jail break and updated back to the standard IOS. I think it took maybe 5 min to revert and the phone still has no issues. For the hardware included, the iphone just seems to work. No matter how much I attempt to screw it up with jailbreaks and crazy software, the phone is rock solid.

I have went through a couple of iPhones myself, cracked screen, silent switch quit working, backlight went out, antenna lost its brain and would drop signal from 3G to nothing while sitting in my room! No brand of phone is without problems you just have to know the features you want upfront. The non iPhones also have external batteries and memory cards which made a huge difference in my opinion. My wife continually fills up the wimpy 8 gigs of memory her iPhone allots her simply taking pictures, and I have 8 gigs of music on my phone. My Samsung however has a odd music player compared to the iPhone but that is just a new app away ;) They each have ups and downs though but in the end they are worlds better than a dumb phone!

need to learn how type on that thing. At my pc at home now. have LOT to learn. Just called to refill a script and could not figure how to punch another number to get the option I wanted. As for the case I was angry. The salesman did show me cases and I chose the hard case and he sat it aside next to my stuff and was taking care of me and other customers and somebody grabbed it or he thinks he may have took it back when he took back the others but when I was checking out it was not there and somebody on the otherside had bought it . it was the last one there. The whole mall did not have one, neither did any FTW area stores. The sales guy did try to get me one but I said it should be free don't you think. I will work out the issues with them in customer services.
