Yeah, I guess I was thinking the same thing, ......, I have been wanting to go to Clayton, but I guess it will have to be with a group of Toyotas.

I'd like to go as well, but too poor to go on some of those infamous rig-breaking trails Clayton is known for. I keep hearing of an easier, expedition-style trail known as K-Trail that I'd like to explore. If the club decides to do something like that, I'd be interested. Or maybe we could plan for a K-Trail run separately?

It is 45 minutes from Clayton. He and I were planning to go. Want to meet up one morning that weekend?

ya ed i've read and seen pics of the K-Trail on the lsjc site and almost went with them last oct. but everyone ended up backing out and not going although there is only a few that have it mapped out and there is lots of trails leading off it so i guess one could get lost, but i would like to do that as well even if it is seperate from the clayton trip, LSJC talk about disney,OK and other places up there but yes i do want to go to clayton clint and i can meet you but will have to stick to the 2 and 3 rated trails maybe an easy 4 but i will need to be able to drive home yes i'm in on the 4th!

July 4th sounds good - I will tentatively put that on my calendar.

Most of the rigs & drivers that are going are novices so we are going to ride acordingly. I just thought some one may want to tag along .

Note to self, put this on the calendar. Hopefully I will have my "upgrades" done by then, not looking good for MR though, time is running out too fast

Does that mean the group will be doing relatively easy, 2-diamond rated type trails? If so, I may want to tag along. I've never been to Clayton, mainly because I've heard from those that have been that most of the trails are not really stock-friendly or for beginners, with the exception of K-Trails.

So far every one that is going is on 33" or better tires and locked at least in the rear. Most have run most of the 4s at Gilmer and Hot Springs. So I would say 2s-3s & maybe some 4s. We are going to learn the area and have some fun.
