Alright, no-one has posted a tech topic in a while so here goes: I see there are a lot of newbies on the forum, so we shall have some newbie discussions:) I can say that because I live so far away and you cant do anything about it... J/K Tech topic is: Specialized tools that you need ON THE TRAIL but probably don't have. I know all vehicles are different but maybe we can list our vehicle and the specialized tools we often need for trail repairs.

For Jeep TJs and YJs: 1 - 34mm socket for the front axle spindle nut. (ask me how I know) And of course, never leave home without a BFH.

Zip ties and ratchet straps have saved me numerous times, not very specialized but incredibly handy. Never leave home without a high-lift. The axle spindle nut is specific to the axle so it's always a good idea to have the one for your application. Again not too specific but always a very good idea to have is a set of torx bits, 12 point sockets and allen wrenches. And most importantly, don't forget your patience.

Spindle nut socket is good but I have never used one before...maybe once. A hammer and a flat head screw driver works for me.
