It is time again for another rebuild of my rig. As some of you know I like to do things my own way.(a bit different)
The rig was running and performing great. However I want it to be different.

I have pulled out the stock 6 cylinder, AX15, and NP231.  I am replacing it with a GM 6.0 LQ9, NV4500, and a Stak 3 speed 5.0

I removed the RE skid plate and shooting for a flat skid. This means I have to relocate the mounting points for the control arms. I plan to upgrade the rear from a single triangulated to a double triangulated. Relocating the rear coilovers. I am going to cut the rear frame off again and tube the back again.
Plan to dove tail the rear and make it a three seat Juggy. (going to try and still use the the half doors and reuse the top only modified) Still up in the air on the front control arms.
I ripped every wire out of the jeep, and removed the entire dash. I am going to make a new dash, my way. Using the instrument cluster that matches the engine and the truck wiring harness. Mojave heater and cutting brakes.
The big project that starts it all is an old school channel job. I am cutting out the entire floor of the tub. Then cutting out 4" of the bottom and dropping it on the frame and making a new floor and tunnel. got a new set of seats waiting to go in.
out with the old cage and in with a new one.

Wow when I list it all out I hope I can be done by mega run 2011.

in the picture below you can see some of the handy plasma cutter work making the skull in the side panel. Tonight I was able to put on the sliders and get them  tacked up. this will be the new bottom of the tub. behind the peice of tube will be the floor. then drop it on the frame. Of course that means more cutting of the hood and rear fenders for clearance of tires.

So been working on it pretty regular. Not alot to talk abut just cutting and welding. Got the suspension just temporary in place until after the motor swap. Got the thing rolling and headed over to johnnys this past weekend. He has been a big help so far. Rubi went with as suport and ended up working alot. Thanks Billy and Jimmy  also showed up to help. We got the tranfer case, trans, and engine all bolted together.  While stuffing the motor in I took a pretty good fall when the hoist came down fast and knocked my feet out from under me. It was pretty funny.
The engine looks pretty sweet in it so far. It is huge. Since I lowered the body 4" over the frame things have gotten crazy. Looks like I will be sitting ontop of the Stak. The front drive shaft will be stiking up under my seat and feet. I will channel over it some how later. I figured the engine would hang out the hood and just look  cool. It will definatly do that. The exhaust manifold hit the frame and would not work. This brought us to a hault. I ordered a set of ceramic coated headers from Hooker headers and they should be here thursday. These are block hugger style headers and should do the trick. Then we can finish the test fit of the engine and on to some tube work. The wiring harnes got shippend off to be redone and the computer worked over. Should be back in a week or two.
I think Billy took some pictures if he gets some time to post a few.

Photos sent to Kevin.  I am not smart enough to post them here.
Anyway, it was fun for me.  Yes, Kevin hit the ground in a hurry, but was not able to get a photo.  Big engine - going to be sweet.
