Okay guys, here is another photo/video option for us. Preston (blacknoma) suggested that we make a club photobucket account. It has a quick and easy bulk uploader and you can also upload your videos. If you are interested, we made an account under the club name. This has no effect on the Club Gallery. Feel free to use the existing Gallery as normal. Due to how many of us there are and the amount of pictures we tend to take, I wanted to lay down a few guidelines. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS BEFORE USING THE ACCOUNT:
1.
KEEP IT ORGANIZED. Please do not put any pictures on the main page. If there is already an album made for the event you are posting pictures for, please DO NOT make another. Just put all of your pictures and videos in there. They will most likely be organized by date taken. When you post the pictures/ videos, under “Description”, you can put your name if you want credit for the file, however, If you want your pictures separate, please make your own photobucket account.
2.
PLEASE DO NOT EDIT anything about the account itself i.e. passwords, album themes, layout, etc…Please leave it as it is. If someone wants it changed or has any suggestions about ANYTHING, please PM me and we will work it out. ALSO, please do not delete or edit any photos or videos that you did not add. RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE'S CONTENT.
3.
KEEP YOUR CONTENT FAMILY FRIENDLY AND LEGAL. I’m sure I don’t need to clarify, but due to the ability to comment on photos, we need to make sure we aren’t cursing or bashing anyone or their rigs. If someone finds something offensive, once again, please PM me and it will be taken care of promptly. Also, do not put pictures of your wheeling adventures on the account if the wheeling spot is not legal, e.g. you paid to get in or you know (or are) the owner of the land and you have explicit permission to be there. The right to remove videos and photos is reserved if the need arises.
4.
USE DISCRETION when posting large amounts of content. Preferably you will be posting a
selection of all the pictures you took. This is not necessarily a requirement but it would be best if you did not unload your 6 gig memory card into an album. DO NOT DUPLICATE your additions to the account.
5.
PRIVACY: Please keep the password within the club as much as possible. Also, EVERYTHING IS PUBLIC, so be cautious about putting personal information on the account. The club will not be responsible for any issues arising from the display of personal information.
6.
A PRECAUTION: I do not recommend using this account as your primary storage for your video and photos. Keep them backed up on your computer. If for some reason this account needs to be closed at some point, a post will be made informing you of the action before it is carried out. Also keep in mind that THIS IS A FREE SITE. The club has no influence on the actions or performance of photobucket. Also, since it is so easy for anyone online to access our forums (and thereby gain access to our password), it is possible that we could end up with someone who would deface the account just for cruel entertainment...Just cross your fingers that we avoid that. If a password needs changed, everyone will be notified beforehand.
7.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS about how to use the account (making a new album, adding photos, video, etc…) I can help you out with that as well. Don’t hesitate to ask.
When you log in, you will see on the LEFT HAND SIDE under ALBUMS that Preston has started an Album called “club rigs”. Go ahead and make your first addition to the account ONE picture (your favorite) of your rig. Once you upload it, make the TITLE your USERNAME and under DESCRIPTION, tell us a little about your rig. Website:
www.photobucket.com Username: dfw-tx4wd Password: treadlightly
I think that about covers it. Ya’ll have fun out there!
