New to the 4wd scene(kinda)

Im Ryan first off! I met quite a few peeps at Megarun in march, Which was a great time btw! i have a few pics of my yota that I wheeled at megarun. I purchased it in november 2010 and it has claimed a lot of my time since then. Bought it from a guy that wheeled it(in mud) for along time and just wore everything out. From november to march I made it trail ready to make the megarun event, After the event I installed a small block and have been making it road ready ever since. Ok enough chat time for pics! This was the night we brought it home from Houston cleaned up and running well Flatbed installed 5.29 gears, New tires, Getting ready for Megarun Before the fire, lol Day after megarun I decided to put this in there 1 month and 5 days later I drove it work with the new motor. As far as the swap I did a 350ci gm crate motor with a late model tbi setup. I had a 2wd 700r4 trans that i rebuilt with output shaft from advanced adapters. Along with there adapter plate to use my yota transfer case. Armour supplied block hugger headers and a late model chevy serpentine setup. Thanks for looking at my pile!

Ha the Tacoma did pretty well surprisingly, I think it got around 9-11 mpg on that trip. As for the grabbers, I don't think they did too bad but then again I have no real trail experience. The price was right for my budget and I drive it on the street quite a bit so I needed a all terrain more than anything.

Welcome to the forum man. Last I saw you we traded a fire extinguisher on JP express for some welding time to patch up my exhaust. Truck's looking good, I was thinking about doing an engine swap in mine from my old Chevy but went another direction buying a 4runner. Hope to see you on the trails soon.
