Looks identical to this one pretty much...

Its 2 wheel drive, leather interior, automatic, AC, Rockford Fosgate sound, all the cool stuff I wanted.

I got bored and tired of the rubicon.   I am thinking about maybe building something different now, just to play with, or maybe finding someone elses forgotten trail rig project...

The thought of sinking 5 or 6 grand into the Rubicon to get it to look like everyone else's just ****ed me off.   I am glad its gone now.

An extremely big thank you to Grubbs Nissan here in Bedford. www.grubbsnissan.com They really treated me kindly and are a nice group of people.  In a better economy, they were able to be generous and active sponsors in this club who not only supported our events and enabled us to do raffles, they purchased our T-shirts for us one year and were always first in line to go wheeling at Megarun.  I am happy to have been able to bring my business to them.

Another one comes to the dark side.

Wow surprised you sold the Jeep, but now that you have a nice tow rig you could get something to trailer.

I am thinking about something like that yes.  Not sure about the actual layout of it but in terms of scale, I am thinking about something near that size.

Or might find an old CJ5 or willys or scout or XJ or 1st gen toyota truck or sammy???

          Not rushing into it.

Sammi buggy, or a massively bobtailed yota mini truck.

All options will be considered.  I wont get caught up in preserving sheet metal with the next rig.

I am going to take my time with this.   Hopefully it will not take me as long as Roy to get on the trails again.

This is a little bit funny

4 years ago, I drove that Jeep home and I loaded the CD changer up with:

                    1) Led Zeppelin - Mothership - Disc 1
                    2) Led Zeppelin - Mothership - Disc 2
                    3) Led Zeppelin - III
                    4) Led Zeppelin - The BBC Tapes - Disc 1
                    5) Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti - Disc 1
                    6) Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti - Disc 2

Yesterday I took all of these CDs out, and with nothing better to do, loaded them into the new truck.   In four years I didn't change CDs.  Or if I did, I promptly replaced the Zeppelin.

I have a feeling that when I sell/trade this truck it will probably have the same 6 CDs in it.

                    Pathetic?

I do listen to other music but if you were stranded with a dead MP3 player and no radio signal, at least you could still have the best music in the world with you at all times.

                        I bought a 2 wheel drive.

I did this on purpose: so that I would not be tempted.  I'll admit, I am already thinking of a modification though.  Maybe a bed extender with a larger capacity?  This is how it always starts...

Nice looking trucks though.  Really sweet rides.

sweet!  trailering and not worrying about sheet metal is a great thing!
