I hate thieves

So yesterday I'm driving home from a buddy's house and it's like 3 in the afternoon and I'm in the jeep. Well I pull in the driveway and Kayla is freaking out because while she was mowing the backyard someone broke into my truck in broad daylight. They got my stereo, brand new gps and my .45. The crazy part is we have no idea how they got in. No broken glass and it was locked when she found it. Of course my dash was all ripped out too. We think she scared em off when she was coming around the side of the house to get the gas can. I was more scared by them having my gun and her there alone like that. Needless to say she walks the house armed now. Either way though I hate how someone's greed can so easily destroy your sense of safety and comfort.

Your truck doesnt have that silly 'keyless entry' system with the keypad on the doors, does it?
 

im sorry, that ****s... in the apartments i live in,  all the breakins happen during the day time only.  i guess they assume that the owner is at work and left the car there.
 
and maybe they locked the door for you after they left. but ill tell you what.. i hope i never caught anyone stealing stuff cause, something just might happen to them =0

if your .45 is registered in your name you need to let the cops know if you have not already done so. don't want anything coming back on you i feel your pain brother i have been in the same position it $uck$

I gave the cops the serial number to the gun so I'm clear. I found out that my deductibles are too high to make it worth my effort to claim anything on insurance so it's all just a loss. Very dissappointing when you just had a $1k radio ripped out of your dash. I kinda feel like maybe insurance is a thief too.

Yes they are thieves too, it's ridiculous that we are required by law to have it!

That's ****s man - I had an old JVC tape deck stolen, the tape player didn't even work. But the costly fix was they broke the bottom part of the dash. Bastards, if they would have asked nicely I would have given them the radio for free.

Well at least now one of the subs from my truck is in my jeep. Maybe it'll help drown out that damn lifter tick I can't get rid of. Trying to look on the bright side.

Thieves are one of the lowest forms of humanity. When I lived in Garland one of my neighbors had his radio stolen out of his truck 2 times in a month. He hung trebel hooks under the dash to try and hook someone. He never lost his radio again. For anyone that is interested the hook thing is illegal according to the cops.

Hmm....I dont know officer. Dangd if I hadnt lost those hooks from my tackle box. Cant imagine how theyd end up there.
 
Also, how would the thief press charges? Call the cops to say he hurt himself breaking into your truck? I cant imagine which law thatd be breaking, its the same principle as having barbed wire on top of a fence.

Barbed wire is illegal in many residential cities also

In my concealed handgun class the officer said do NOT wound an intruder if they are in your house, because they can sue you and win. He said you are better off to kill them. It really is sad that times can be like that. But you know what, I better never catch someone in my stuff cause they aren't gonna end up wounded.

Wounding someone usually indicates you had time to aim, but half a clip gone and two to the chest means you were to scared to aim.
