Home Made Oil Acumulator

Just created a new part for the Money Pit. I noticed I still had some bad blow by and it was coming out of the dipstick and valve cover breather. I saw units like the one I made going for $150.00. So me being cheap, I made my own. I used a piece of 2" stainless dom I had lying around and welded a washer onn the bottom. Then a small spacer, and tapped it. From that I have the T with a drain plug and a sight glass to see how much is inside. On the top just above the hose barbs I have a roll of steel wool to help diffuse the oil / air mixture. Then capped it off with a tight, but removable standard pepboys breather. [image]local://480/D4B79DC315C749E48180E18EEC6F2C47.jpg[/image]

No I tack welded a bar on the inside above the vac ports. The wool wont come down. Youy hook it upright anywhere. You hook up the crank case breather to one port and valve cover to the other. You can build smaller units and use them for your t-case and axles also. Baisically it is a diffuser that separates the oil from the air and catches the oil in the bottom.

Thanks a lot. I would rather build from scratch lying around then buy.
