Used em on some drag race vehicles. The mounting options are top notch, and the lenses are even easily replaceable in case it winds up taking a tumble. The downside is the relatively short run time per SD card, and the audio isnt much to write home about, but the cameras themselves are almost indestructible. Im thinking of getting one too, since I have a buddy who can maybe get me a discount on one.

we use the flip camera, pretty durable and about an hour worth on memory time, will mount with any standard camera bolt, flash memory means no skips and built in usb just like a jump drive, easy peasy

I been using the oregon scientific video camera mounted on my hood for a couple of years now and I paid $50 for it but it is limited to a 2gb card and I have to step out of the truck to turn it on. From the site it looks like you could buy a naked one and customize it to fit your needs and get a 32gb card and you will be all set. Pretty cool idea

I use an epic, it is small and can be mounted anywhere. It takes good video( I kinda wish I would have poped for the HD version) and the audio is clear. I found it on eBay for 40 bucks. The only downfall is it has no view finder.

I'm thinking it would be cool cause it is has heavy duty case, it's waterproof, and it didn't apear to show any vibration so everything appeared clear with no wind noise.
