Gears and locker Tuesday, April 05, 2011 6:46 PM (permalink)
So I'm doing some minor adjustment to my CJ build and I need to offload a couple of parts.

I'm selling the Detroit locker (3.92 and up) from my front axle.  It's a high pinion Ford Dana 44.  I think the locker should fit most all Dana 44s except the newer Jeeps.  I have never driven the vehicle with this axle so I don't know what kind of condition it's in.  It appears to be in pretty solid shape externally from a visual inspection at least.

I'm also selling the Dana/Spicer gears that are installed in the axle.  They are 4.09 reverse rotation gears.  Again, I've never driven this axle so I don't know what kind of condition the gears are in.  They have a very little buildup of gunk (you can see a couple spots in the picture) but don't appear to have a strange wear pattern.

I am also going to be upgrading the gears in the rear 9".  They are 4.56 gears.  They've been installed in the Currie center section but never driven.  I believe the gear marking compound is still on the gears.  The spool in this axle will be staying in the axle and is not for sale.

For the locker, I'm going to ask $400.  For the gears, $50 per set.  All prices are negotiable.

Since I'm in Oklahoma and not planning on coming down soon, we'll have to arrange shipping, which is negotiable as well.

Oh, and for the record, I'm upgrading to 5.38's and an ELocker in the front and whatever is close to 5.38s in the 9".
