First Club Meeting

Attended my first club meeting last night. My wife and I enjoyed meeting many of you last night. We had a great time. Seems like you are down to earth people, our kind of people. We are looking forward to activities in the club and getting to know ya'll.

I think so, I met a lot of people and I am old. So it takes a few times for the names to sink in.

  That is why we need nametags.   I can remember faces but not names.

It was good to meet you and your wife. I am sure you will have as much or more fun with your Wrangler than you did with your Challenger. Once you hit the trails in that nice new Jeep you will be addicted...

Man, I miss y'all, too.  Was even going to call you the other day, but then work related issues came up like they always do.  And no, still working my tail off on all that other work.  Heck, I heard on the news how the Exxon Valdez spill was still in the courts, so I think this one will be in the courts til way after I retire!  To add further insult to my non-wheeling misery, I ended up breaking my foot a couple months ago, then Crohn's started acting up again, which prompted another fun colonoscopy.  I tell ya, preppin' for a colonoscopy while you're on crutches with a broken foot is a hoot!  Nothing like hobbling to the bathroom on crutches to get there in the nick of time!  Maybe that experience can be incorporated into a Mega Run event - drink a bunch of that prep stuff, then go wheel the furthest off-camber trail from a porta-potty, and see how fast you can drive your truck to it - just in the nick of time - lol!
