I was thinking of making a run down there for a week. Leaving July 2nd and coming back July 9th. A large group woud be better, there are safety in numbers.

I would love to but cannot afford the logistics to get there. I think you will have to get a guide but Billy and I believe it was Griz that went with him so ask him for input

I just found out about having to have a guide. Too expensive. Have to look for a better destination.

Canadian river in the panhandle is legal to wheel under the OHV program, along with the lake Meredith rec area....you can pop into the canadian river and make your way all the way to lake Meredith. Just another destination to think about.
--Channing Ramos I can follow Jeeps. I just dont need to go to the mall or the mechanics. '94 Samurai. With stuff. Those who wont use violence are subject to those that do.

The 'River' Is nothing more than a trickle. Less water than the slabs used to have. if you get into water deep enough to get to your tcase, hand the keys to someone else cause youve driven into a stock tank. You usually pop into it from highway 287. There really isnt too much to do at lake Meredith, but the river has lots of trails. The big bend area would have lots more to offer, I will concede that. To be honest, id rather like to check out colorado or new mexico or something. I just spent alot of time on the canadian river growing up....
