Fabricating an adapter... Sunday, March 02, 2008 7:58 PM (permalink)

Anyone here have experience maching and fabricating an adapter? Long story short, I have acesss to a machinist and the appropriate machines. We will be taking NP-435 and Dana 20 intermediate housings and making them one. The idea is to pin it then weld it. The weld will be performed by a pro with certifications to weld. Thoughts and ideas are appreciated...

the procedure is pretty simple.  As long as your geometry is correct the two should mate togeather.  As far as a sertified welder...it is not necessary.  Just practice on your tig for a week or two in your spare time and youll get it........just make msure the area is CLEAN!!!!!!!
