I spoke to the other officers in the broader statewide organization, about adopting a new logo. They were not universally enthusiastic about that but were very encouraging about the design I put together. They said if you want to run with it go ahead. They were worried about the detail and the number of colors involved, etc, thinking it would be an expensive proposition to print a quality sticker.
I did not bug David because he is out of town and also he doesn't do multi-color yet.
It just so happens I have a good friend in the sign business. He is becoming a club sponsor and made me an unbelievable deal on these.
I have not seen them yet, but he said they are 6" round stickers. They turned out very close in detail to the image you see. He said he made them so that their is no white edge. My friend said he used a matte material, rather than glossy. He said these will last 35 years outdoors. He exaggerates sometimes but I believe him if he said they turned out great.
Anyway, as a club fundraiser, I will be distributing these for $5 each.
I am not sure how many he was able to get out of a sheet. Perhaps if they are popular I can convince him to make more. These he made for free as a donation to the club. His materials alone cost him a few hundred dollars, he said. That is the kind of guy he is.
He will soon be listed on our sponsors page, and would very much welcome any big or small jobs you have. His name is Paul Stringer. His number is 972-257-1100. His business is in Irving. He does full vehicle wraps, custom flags, etc. He said he can make some subtle ghost flames for my Jeep and asked me to bring it in.
Here is a PDF, if anyone else is interested in using it for anything. If you do choose to use it for something, give Paul a shout, tell him you are with the 4WD club, please thank him for his contribution, and see if he can do something for you.
