Bridgeport Guideline Update

New Northwest ORV Park Guideline: Due to multiple recent events concerning late afternoon/evening vehicle(rig) breakage on the trails and/or extraction by towing, the following resolution has been approved and will be immediately implemented. This is a result of Park staff having been detained for assistance with these matters well past the normal operating hours. The spring/summer operating hours are 8 A.M. to 7 P.M. These hours are also listed on the City of Bridgeport's website. The Park's gates are locked at 7 P.M. Any vehicle that has not had the successful/necessary trail repairs completed, or that will have to be extracted by towing in order to exit the Park by the 7 P.M. closing time will have to be left on property until the following business day. It will be taken under consideration should the situation take only a brief few extra minutes amount of time in order to complete the above said issues to exit the Park after the 7 P.M. closing time. If this situation falls on a Saturday, you will be issued a free pass to return on Sunday in order to complete the trail repairs necessary, to tow the vehicle out, or to have the vehicle extracted. The free pass to the Park will be for those instances only but will not be for a free day of wheeling. If this situation falls on a Sunday, the vehicle owner/operator will be required to make arrangements with the City of Bridgeport Parks and Recreation Department to obtain Park access on the following day/days to make the necessary repairs for removal or vehicle extraction from the Park. All associated costs pertaining to vehicle repairs, towing, or extraction will be at the stranded vehicle owner/operators expense. The gate house phone # is also listed on the rules and regulations sheet that is handed out to every vehicle that enters the Park, so if any problem should arise a Park Attendant can be contacted for assistance. Thank you for your cooperation.
