Ok I've never been there. Me and a buddy are thinking of going out there. We are going Friday into Saturday. Is there anything I need to know about camping out there?

There are fee's to get in plus you will need an OHV sticker. I reccomand that you join the Tmtc to help the offroad to get more land. Greetings and Salutations, You are recieving this email because you are currently listed as an Active member in TMTC. The membership rates for TMTC will be changing at the beginning of next month and we wanted to offer the opportunity for our current membership to renew under the current rates. The New Member application fee will $60 and the Returning Member fee will be raised to $50. (with a $5 break for early renewal - BEFORE your expiration date) You will not 'lose' any time by renewing early. Say for example, your membership expires on July 10 of this year. If you renew now, your expiration date will be pushed out one year and now will expire on Jul 10 2012. You can renew by going to http://www.texasmotorizedtrails.com and logging in. After logging in, you should see a button on the first page that will allow you to renew through PayPal. If you have any problems logging in or questions about the process, please don't hesitate to shoot me an email. eric@barnestormertechnologies.com Eric Barnes

Yeah I have an ohv sticker from bridgeport. I'm going to check the place out before I join TMTC. What I was wondering is can I just plop my tent down in any ole area or at the marked camp sites? I'm guessing at the camp sites only and if that is the case then is there a non-jeep club camp site or can I use one of the Jeep club sponsored sites? Also what's the policy on fires? The rules say no alcahol on the trails but doesn't say anything about at cap sites, what's the skinny on this? These are all things not in the rules on the site. I'm sorry if I am being a pest but it's better to ask before I get out there I think.

You can camp wherever you want just not in the middle of a trail! Our campsite is very nice and accomodating. As chris said please only burn in the camps fire rings, and pack out what you pack in. No wheeling after ten, though you can drive to the bathrooms and such. You can drink at camp just keep it off the trails and out of your rig! Have lots of fun and post up the aftermath :)

Ok sorry for the delay in posting about the trip. So we had a blast out there wheeled for two days camped one night. The first day out there was not the greatest for two main reasons. First reason was that 3/4 of the way out there my instrument panel went crazy. All my gages stopped working and the odometer threw a "no bus" error. The Jeep still drove and didn't go into limp mode, it was just a bit troubling. The second reason the first day wasn't great was that we had never been BM so finding our way around was a bit of a PITA. The second day was absolutely amazing. When I woke up and fired up the Jeep the "no bus" situation had sorted itself out (hasn't done it again either btw). We spent the first part of the day on the easier trails but as the day moved along and we got more brave and moved on to the more difficult trails. The most difficult trail I hit that day was Politician. I can honestly say that in a almost bone stock Jeep Politician might have been the most exciting and terrifying experience of my life. All-in-all a very good experience but next time I would like to go with people that know the property better.
