BMRA Work Weekend - May 14th - 15th
Thursday, March 31, 2011 10:09 AM
( permalink)
More information can be found @ www.tmtc.net Team, Please reply to the Board with any items that should be included during the Work Weekend so that we can be more prepared. I know there is some trash left from Megarun around the dumpster. It was mentioned that trash was found on the main roads. Weenie World Extension needs repair. Signage needs addressed. I will spread the word to the best of my ability in attempt to draw a crowd May 14th. Terry _________________ BMRA BOD VICE CHAIR TMTC Lifetime Member #4260

Mike and I want to go. As long as he is in the country I think it's in the cards for both of us.

I'd be driving out Friday night and camping as well.

I have a small group planning to wheel that weekend and we were wondering if the park would still be open for normal wheeling as well? It'll be my last trip before I move so we kinda had to rush a trip in.

If you pitch in half a day to do some work you will also get a lunch and that day gate fees covered.

I figured I'd lend a hand. I'm not a total tool, just mostly. I'm not worried about gate fees really. So I guess I'll be there with a couple of others.

Was just sayin that you have options, not trying to call you out. Normal gate fees apply if you just wanna wheel, or if you pitch in a few hours to clean trails, trim brush, fix bridges, etc you will get fed and gate fees will be waived for the day. Just BE SURE to sign the volunteer log book at the office before you leave the park. This applies to any time you are out at BMRA. If you take 15 minutes picking up trash on a trail or an hour trimming brush at a camp site be sure to log it in the book at the front office. Volunteer hours are required before the government releases funds to the park for upkeep and improvements.
